Passport for Anna Epping and son William from Germany to United States 1923
American Consulate at Breman Germany permits two persons for a journey to the United States. It is dated Sept. 26, 1923
Anna Eppings arrival is found on Ellis Island ships passenger lists (I used Steve Morse's One Step Search Engines for Ellis Island to find the passenger list):
- First Name: Anna
- Last Name: Epping
- Ethnicity: Germany, German
- Last Place of Residence: Bremen, Germany
- Date of Arrival: Oct 09, 1923
- Age at Arrival: 35y Gender: F Marital Status: M
- Ship of Travel: Muenchen
- Port of Departure: Bremen
- Manifest Line Number: 0017
Anna's son William age 6 is also with her. Anna states she is going to visit her brother in law, Harrold Hohman in Maplewood, New Jersey. She has been to United States previously in 1888 and 1922, both times to Cleveland Ohio. Her son's record states he was previously in United States in 1917 and 1922, both times to Cleveland Ohio. William Eppings notations state he is of English descent and born in Cleveland Ohio in 1917. Anna's also says she is English descent. They are both from Bremen Germany
I also found Anna and her son William in the 1930 Census for Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio [Source: Roll: 1766; Page: 12A; Enumeration District: 126] Anna, age 41, born New Jersey and now married to Joseph H. Cole age 46 born Ohio.
